I did some art for a local church group this weekend (I know, right, a church group seeing my work, and saying "That's the guy!") But it was actually at my cousin's request. But it was cool to do something different. The males are the originals they already had, they needed a female set. The idea was that through the 4 day retreat, the character starts out on Thursday (Jueves) sad and progressively to Sunday (Domingo) she gets happy.
It was cool just to work with a big piece of paper and markers. It's a style I don't use much. It was hard to get the girl as close to a caricature as I could without making it too loose. I was worried that if I went full cartoon, people would say "Wow, that's an ugly girl!" Anywho, here's some photos and scans.
(I really liked the Jueves, and Domingo originals, The ones I didn't do. Simple style. Jueves sat in my living room for a week. He just kept staring at everyone. It was a little depressing.)
